Coupang Signs Fire Damage Recovery Support Agreement with Deokpyeong Residents
Direct Support Including Water Supply Connection Projects and Volunteer Fire Brigade Operations, Along with Fund Contributions

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang has signed an agreement with the local community to recover from and support the damage caused by the fire at the Deokpyeong Logistics Center. On the 4th, Coupang announced that it had signed an agreement with the Coupang Fire Damage Countermeasure Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee), which was formed by nearby residents affected by the fire at the Deokpyeong Logistics Center in Majang-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do in June.
According to this agreement, Coupang will provide the necessary funds for recovery and support projects, and the Committee will oversee the management and execution of the funds as well as all matters related to the support projects.
Coupang will directly bear the costs for the Deokpyeong 2-ri water supply connection project and the operation of the Majang-myeon Volunteer Fire Brigade. Additionally, Coupang will establish a fund to support the costs required for resident welfare and village maintenance projects proposed by the Committee.
Various support for village organizations such as the Senior Citizens' Association, Women's Association, and Youth Association will also be comprehensively carried out through this agreement.
