KOTRA to Host Global Hallyu Expo Until the 15th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA announced on the 4th that it will hold the '2021 Global Hallyu Expo (Hallyu Expo)' until the 15th to revitalize K-consumer goods exports in connection with the Korean Wave.
The Hallyu Expo has been held at major global consumer goods hubs since it started in Bangkok in 2010, and this year marks its 19th edition. It is a Hallyu marketing project that links Hallyu stars and K-pop performances to promising consumer goods exports.
This year's Hallyu Expo will feature overseas major distribution network collaboration for online and offline consumer goods promotions, one-on-one online consultations, a metaverse Hallyu showcase, and review marketing by Hallyu stars and influencers.
In response to the growing overseas demand for Hallyu in a non-face-to-face environment, the utilization of Hallyu content and digital video content has been strengthened. KOTRA plans to promote linked products using various Hallyu video contents targeting the core customer base of this project, the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), and create opportunities for K-consumer goods companies to enter overseas markets.
