60s Arrested for Wielding a Weapon at Hospital Room Patient Saying "Don't Be Noisy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 60s, a patient at a nursing hospital, was arrested for injuring a fellow patient in the same hospital room with a weapon.
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced on the 4th that they are conducting a detention investigation on a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of special assault.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of threatening and injuring a fellow patient in his 60s with a weapon at a nursing hospital in Yeongdeungpo-gu around 9:30 PM on the 31st of last month. Fortunately, the victim is reported to have no life-threatening injuries.
During the police investigation, Mr. A stated that he committed the crime because the victim usually made loud noises. It was also reported that Mr. A was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
