The video shows her boyfriend, Mr. A (31), dragging Hwang, who had lost consciousness with her neck twisted due to the assault, from place to place.
On the 3rd, 'JTBC Newsroom' obtained the full 37-minute CCTV footage from the day of the incident and released part of it.
In the released footage, in the early morning of July 25, Mr. A is seen taking the already unconscious Hwang into the elevator on the first floor of the building. Between the closing elevator doors, bloodstains are clearly visible where Hwang had been lying.
They arrived at the 8th floor where Hwang lived, but Mr. A pressed the button for the lobby floor below the first floor and dragged Hwang back down. Each time Hwang was dragged into and out of the elevator, her neck was bent back and forth, and her forehead hit the floor.
The prosecution stated in the indictment, "Through four instances of violent acts, damage was inflicted on the skull, brain, and neck, leading to death." Hwang's mother said, "They went to the 8th floor and kept dragging her around. They did not provide emergency treatment and dropped her again."
The fight initially took place inside the house. When Hwang tried to hold onto Mr. A, he pushed her onto the bed, and she followed barefoot, grabbing his hair. Afterwards, Mr. A pushed Hwang against the wall about ten times.
The assault continued on the hill leading to the outdoor parking lot during their fight. Then the two returned to the building, after which Hwang lost consciousness and was dragged around, according to reports.
It was revealed that Mr. A did not mention the 'assault' when calling 119 emergency services. At the time of the 119 call, Mr. A said, "I accidentally hit her head while trying to move it, but she passed out because she drank too much alcohol." Regarding this, Hwang's mother said, "Because he lied in the report, we lost all the time that could have saved our child."

Mr. A was arrested in September on charges of causing death by injury, but Hwang's family expressed their grievance over the 'non-application of murder charges' in a statement. The family appealed, "Please resolve the deep resentment and injustice of the victim who died miserably and her bereaved family through the maximum sentence allowed by law."
