Mac and Cheese for Chilly Days
A Flavor That Keeps Coming to Mind
This fall, I bought macaroni again without fail. It’s to make and enjoy mac and cheese. Actually, mac and cheese is a representative American home-cooked dish, so it’s not something eaten only in a specific season. But maybe because of the warm and creamy cheese, its taste especially comes to mind in late autumn.
The cozy happiness of tasting freshly made mac and cheese and beer in a bed covered with a thick comforter. Ingredients Preparation
1 cup macaroni (based on a paper cup), 2 tablespoons flour, 3 slices of sliced cheese, 3 tablespoons butter, 200㎖ milk, 1/4 onion, Cheongyang chili pepper, Spam, parsley
※ Parsley is optional, and Cheongyang chili pepper and Spam can be substituted with peperoncino and bacon respectively.

① Add half a tablespoon of salt to water and boil 1 cup of macaroni for 8 minutes.
② While the macaroni is boiling, stir-fry chopped onion, finely sliced Cheongyang chili pepper, and diced Spam in a pan.
③ When the ingredients are somewhat cooked, add the prepared butter and flour and stir-fry. At this time, stir well to prevent the flour from clumping.
④ Add 200㎖ of milk. When the milk starts to boil, add 3 slices of sliced cheese and simmer on low heat until the cheese melts.
⑤ Add the boiled macaroni to the sauce pan and stir for about 1 minute while cooking. Season with salt and pepper, then serve on a plate in portions and sprinkle with parsley to finish!
