Yeonggwang-gun Implements 'Stepwise Daily Recovery Phase 1 Revision'

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) will implement the '1st phase of gradual daily recovery revision' starting this month in accordance with the government's phased social distancing reform policy for gradual daily recovery, held at the county office's large conference room on the 1st.

According to the county on the 2nd, the newly applied revision plan aims to move away from universal regulations for suppressing confirmed cases and focus on increasing vaccination rates to prevent severe cases and deaths, as well as blocking infection transmission among unvaccinated and vulnerable groups.

The gradual transition will be promoted through a 4-week system transition maintenance period and a 2-week situation assessment period, with three rounds of revisions gradually implemented while considering vaccination completion rates, healthcare system capacity, occurrence of severe cases and deaths, and the scale of the outbreak.

Under the 1st phase of gradual daily recovery revision, private gatherings are allowed up to 12 people regardless of vaccination status; however, for restaurants and cafes, unvaccinated individuals are limited to a maximum of 4 people.

Infants and toddlers are included in the count of private gathering members, and exceptions to the private gathering limit apply for cohabiting family members, caregivers, and those attending to the dying.

For events and assemblies, up to 99 people are allowed regardless of vaccination status, and up to 499 people if composed only of fully vaccinated individuals.

Considering the difficulties faced by livelihood facilities, restrictions on operating hours of multi-use facilities have been lifted, and operating hours for five types of entertainment facilities (entertainment bars, danran bars, emotional pubs, clubs, nightclubs, hunting pochas) as well as colatecs and dance halls have been relaxed to operate from 0:00 to 5:00 the next day.

A temporary introduction of the vaccination certificate and negative test confirmation system (quarantine pass), which allows only fully vaccinated persons and some exceptions to use multi-use facilities and events, will be mandatorily applied to ▲entertainment facilities (entertainment bars, danran bars, clubs (nightclubs), hunting pochas, emotional pubs, colatecs, dance halls) ▲karaoke (coin) practice rooms ▲indoor sports facilities ▲bathhouses ▲bicycle racing, motorboat racing, horse racing/casinos (for nationals).

The existing administrative orders requiring indoor and outdoor mask-wearing including vaccinated persons and biweekly diagnostic testing for workers in vulnerable facilities will continue to be maintained.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “Although social distancing standards will be relaxed according to the phased daily recovery revision, we ask the residents to actively participate in personal quarantine rules such as wearing masks and regular ventilation to block the spread of community infections.”
