Ministry of Science and ICT Hosts 'Software Education Festival'
November 2-21 "Falling for Software, Fascinated by Artificial Intelligence" Theme
Offering a Total of 286 Contents Including 4 Theme Zones and 23 Programs
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) announced on the 1st that, together with the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, it will hold the "2021 Software Education Festival" online on the official website for 20 days from the 2nd to the 21st.
The Software Education Festival has been held since 2015 to promote software education. This year, under the theme "Falling for SW, Fascinated by AI," it will operate 4 themed halls and 23 programs, providing a total of 286 contents. In addition to the official website, MSIT plans to create the "SW Education Festival World" on the metaverse platform "Zepeto" to offer vivid experiences and communication opportunities, thereby stimulating interest in SW and AI education.
Minister Hyesook Lim of MSIT stated, "In this era of digital transformation, where fundamental changes are occurring throughout people's lives, nurturing talent in the SW and AI fields is more important than ever." She added, "I hope this event will be a special opportunity for students, who are the future leaders of society, as well as their parents, teachers, and the entire society to experience SW and AI education."
