Drunk Special Forces Sergeant Breaks Glass Window and Grabs Police Officer's Collar, Arrested by Police
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] An active-duty special forces non-commissioned officer was arrested by the police after assaulting officers who responded to a disturbance he caused while intoxicated at a bar.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 1st that they arrested Sergeant A, a special forces soldier in his 30s, on charges of obstructing official duties and handed him over to the Army Military Police.
According to the police, Sergeant A is accused of causing a disturbance by breaking a glass window while intoxicated at a building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, around 12:30 a.m. the previous day, and assaulting three police officers who responded to the report by pushing them.
The police arrested Sergeant A at the scene as a suspect caught in the act.

A police official stated, "After confirming A's identity, he was transferred to the military police on charges of obstructing official duties."
