Will Samsung's 'Galaxy S21 FE' Be Unveiled at Next Year's CES?
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Due to the prolonged semiconductor shortage crisis, the release of Samsung Electronics' quasi-premium smartphone, the 'Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE),' has been continuously delayed. It is now expected that the 'Galaxy S21 FE' will be unveiled at the world's largest electronics exhibition, 'CES 2022,' held in January next year.
According to IT specialized media SamMobile on the 1st, Samsung Electronics is likely to reveal the S21 FE at next year's CES. CES 2022 will take place in Las Vegas, USA, from January 5 to 8.
The S21 FE is a quasi-premium product that maintains the core features of the flagship 'Galaxy S' series while lowering the price. It was initially expected to launch in August this year but faced difficulties such as the global semiconductor component shortage, which led to a sudden halt in production preparations.
The S21 FE was not revealed even at two subsequent Unpacked events, leading to rumors of cancellation. However, SamMobile stated that the launch is currently confirmed for next year. In fact, Samsung recently opened S21 FE support pages on some country-specific websites.
