Amorepacific, BGF Retail, Hyundai Electric, Hanjin Heavy Industries, Dong-A Socio Holdings Among 5 Companies Awarded

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 28th that it awarded five companies?Amorepacific, BGF Retail, Hyundai Electric, Hanjin Heavy Industries, and Dong-A Socio Holdings?as '2021 Corporate Governance Report Disclosure Excellence Corporations.'
Since 2019, the Exchange has selected listed companies that faithfully and transparently disclose their governance status according to the 'Governance Guidelines' as excellence corporations in governance report disclosure.
This year's awardees were evaluated as having thorough entries in areas such as ▲enhancement of shareholder participation ▲activities of the internal transaction committee ▲improvement of expertise in internal audit organizations.
Going forward, as the mandatory disclosure target expands to companies with assets exceeding 1 trillion won starting next year, the Exchange plans to supplement the guidelines to ensure smooth and thorough disclosure of governance reports. Additionally, various activities such as practical training for report preparation will be carried out.
