Jeonju City and Muju County Launch 'COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Team' in Full Operation
Stable Quarantine Situation Management and Promotion of Rapid Economic Recovery
[Jeonju·Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City and Muju County have officially launched the ‘COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Team’ to manage a stable quarantine situation and promote rapid economic recovery in line with the government’s phased daily recovery (With Corona) starting next month.
In the case of Jeonju City, on the 28th, the first meeting of the Jeonju City COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Team was held in the 4th-floor conference room of City Hall, with Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-su and medical and economic experts from the Jeonju area participating.
The Jeonju City COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Team consists of a total of 19 members, including Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-su as the head, and 18 private experts in the economic livelihood and quarantine medical subcommittees.
Jeonju City plans to reflect the opinions raised that day and the government’s guidelines in the future Jeonju City COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Plan.
In addition, regular subcommittee meetings will be held to restore ordinary daily life and revitalize citizens’ lives by devoting all capabilities.
Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-su said, “Phased daily recovery is premised on coexistence with COVID-19, so we will respond thoroughly to complete a sustainable quarantine and medical response system,” adding, “We will do our best with experts to revitalize the lives of small business owners and self-employed people who have had difficulties due to quarantine measures and citizens whose lives have been depressed.”
Muju County also formed a ‘Daily Recovery Promotion Team’ led by Muju County Governor Hwang In-hong and took prompt action.
The Muju County Daily Recovery Promotion Team consists of 25 members in five fields: general support, livelihood economy, agriculture, culture and tourism, safety and disaster, and quarantine medical, and will proactively promote daily recovery policies according to the government’s phased daily recovery roadmap.
In particular, while promoting COVID-19 daily recovery policies by department, they decided to focus all efforts on revitalizing the local economy and tourism, stabilizing the livelihood of vulnerable groups, and daily quarantine to recover to the pre-COVID-19 state.
Governor Hwang In-hong said, “I thank the residents for their active participation in wearing masks, social distancing, and vaccination,” adding, “Ahead of daily recovery, we will devote all efforts to quarantine management at the county level and prepare thoroughly and meticulously for the transition to phased daily recovery in November to ensure there are no setbacks in daily recovery preparation.”
As of the 25th of this month, Muju County’s second vaccination rate is 77.3% of the total eligible population, and they have set a goal of 80% fully vaccinated by the end of October and are doing their best in vaccination efforts.
