View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Hyundai Department Store will transform its nationwide stores into Christmas-themed spaces starting from the 28th. This is the first time Christmas decorations are put up in October, which is more than two weeks earlier compared to last year.
At the main entrance plaza of the Trade Center branch, a 13-meter tall large Christmas tree, log cabins, and 120 trees will be displayed as part of the ‘H Village’. Similar installations will be sequentially set up at the Apgujeong Main Store (November 4) and Pangyo Store (November 8). The trees used in these stores will be potted with their roots intact instead of being cut, and later transplanted to premium outlets and other locations.
Hyundai Department Store plans to showcase Christmas decorations on the exterior walls and interior spaces of all 24 stores nationwide. Starting from the 5th of next month, augmented reality (AR) filters will be combined with the thermal scanners installed at store entrances. Customers will see Santa hats or Rudolph headbands appear above their heads, and Christmas carols will be played inside the stores. From mid-next month, a Christmas gift exhibition will be held, and various Christmas limited-edition products will be sold.
