Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Vocational High School Internship Companies
Special Inspection for On-Site Training Companies Until November 5
Suspension of Training and School Notification for Companies Not Complying with Standard Agreement and On-Site Guidance Regulations
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 26th that it will conduct special inspections by visiting companies where vocational high school students are doing on-site training until November 5th.
In addition to the regular on-site training guidance and inspections conducted every year in the second half, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct a full inspection of 1,300 companies where 2,500 students from vocational high schools under its jurisdiction (70 specialized high schools and 4 Meister high schools) are undergoing training.
The special on-site training safety inspection is carried out by vocational high school administrators, employment managers, third-year homeroom teachers, and employment support officers who have received training from industrial safety officers, visiting all companies operating on-site training.
During the special inspection, the inspection items such as ▲adaptation and health status of on-site trainees ▲status of industrial safety measures ▲compliance with on-site training agreements ▲guidance status of on-site training company instructors are checked using the 'Industrial Safety Inspection Checklist'.
Student safety is prioritized during the inspection, and if it is judged that normal operation is difficult due to ▲non-compliance with the standard agreement ▲factors detrimental to student safety and health ▲non-compliance with on-site instructor guidance regulations, on-site training will be immediately suspended and the school will be notified. Follow-up measures will be coordinated with external safety experts (such as the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency).
