[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Korea Road Traffic Authority announced on the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, and Kyungwoon University to promote the establishment of a permanent written driving test center in Gumi.
Through this agreement, the Authority, Gumi City, and Kyungwoon University have decided to open a permanent written driving test center within Kyungwoon University. The permanent written test center operations are scheduled to begin at the end of December.
Gumi City, with a population of 420,000, has not had a driving license test center, causing inconvenience for Gumi residents who had to travel to Daegu or Mungyeong to take the written driving test.
Once the permanent written test center operates in Gumi, it is expected to facilitate driving license written test applications for neighboring areas such as Gimcheon City, Andong City, and Sangju City.
