Presidential Aircraft 'Air Force One' Replaced After 11 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The presidential aircraft, known as the "Korean Air Force One," is expected to be replaced soon.
According to government and military officials on the 25th, the newly selected presidential aircraft, the Air Force One Boeing 747-8i model, is scheduled to be deployed for missions starting next month.
Consequently, the existing Air Force One Boeing B747-400 model will be retired after 11 years of service, following President Moon Jae-in's participation in the upcoming Group of Twenty (G20) summit at the end of this month.
However, considering procurement procedures, there is a possibility that the replacement timing may be extended to next year.
