Kim Junsung, Yeonggwang County Governor, Visits Jangamsan Alps Forest Bathing Site

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Kim Junsung, the governor of Yeonggwang-gun, Jeonnam, recently visited the site of the ‘Jangamsan Alps Forest Bathing Area’ to inspect the overall progress.

According to the county on the 25th, the county invested 1.2 billion KRW in a 10-hectare area around Jangamsan in Samhyo-ri, Myoryang-myeon, creating a lawn plaza, observatory, pond, restroom, parking lot, deck road, cypress forest trail (1.5 km), disc golf (9 holes), and a go-kart experience course (1 km).

The county plans to open the ‘Yeonggwang Jangamsan Alps Forest Bathing Area’ next month.

The Jangamsan Alps Forest Bathing Area provides a forest recreation space with a 50-year-old cypress forest trail and hammock installations, and offers the nation’s first 9-hole forest disc golf course and electric go-kart experiences using an e-mobility trail.

Games such as Sabangchigi and Ojami Nori have also been installed to allow family play and relaxation.

In particular, an alpine meadow-like forest lawn plaza and an observatory offering panoramic views of the West Sea and Yeonggwang fields have been installed.

It is also set to become a complex forest recreation and leisure park where visitors can simultaneously enjoy rest, fun, and exotic scenery.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “I ask for your best efforts to make this a beautiful and healthy forest where all residents and tourists can be happy and safe.”
