Incheon Company Applies Maximum Scoring for Sole Bids on General Services... City Council Revises Regulations
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City issued the 'Partial Amendment to the Detailed Criteria for Incheon City Qualification Review' on the 21st, which applies the maximum score for local company participation when a company located in the region bids alone for general services.
This is a follow-up measure in response to the Incheon City Council's criticism that local companies in Incheon are being discriminated against compared to companies from other cities and provinces.
In fact, while other local governments such as Gyeonggi-do award points when local companies participate alone in general services, Incheon had a very low winning bid rate for local companies.
According to the 'Incheon City Service Contract and Local Company Participation Status' data, from 2017 to last year, the winning bid rate of companies from other cities and provinces in general services commissioned by Incheon City reached 75% over four years.
