453 Confirmed Cases in Seoul by 6 PM... 39 More Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was preliminarily counted at 453 from 0:00 to 18:00 on Thursday, the 21st, a span of 18 hours.
This is 39 more than the 414 new cases reported at the same time the previous day, and 120 fewer than the 573 cases reported a week earlier on the 14th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul reached a record high of 1,221 on the 24th of last month, then decreased to 298 on the 18th after the holidays of Gaecheonjeol and Hangeul Day this month. After the weekend and holiday effect disappeared, the number rose again to the 500s on the 19th and has remained at a similar level.
