[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Korea Land and Housing Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters (Head Lee Jae-ro) visited a sweet potato farming household located in Wolya-myeon, Hampyeong-gun on the 21st to assist with farm labor.
About 30 members of the LH Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters volunteer group participated in the activity, helping with fieldwork such as sweet potato harvesting for farms struggling to secure labor ahead of the harvest due to population decline and COVID-19.
The volunteer group said, "We are glad to be able to lend a hand, even if only a little," and added, "We hope that today’s activity will provide encouragement to the farmers facing difficult circumstances."
LH Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters communicates with the local community through various social contribution activities every year, including old house renovation, blood donation campaigns, and sharing funds.
