[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Comprehensive home interior specialist company Hanssem Co., Ltd. will open 'Hanssem Rehouse Lotte Konkuk Star City Branch' on the 10th floor of Lotte Department Store Konkuk Star City Branch on the 22nd, covering an area of 1046m² (316 pyeong).
Since March, Hanssem has been actively opening interior stores nationwide in department stores centered around Lotte Department Store in Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, and other cities. The 'Hanssem Rehouse Lotte Konkuk Star City Branch' is the first store to open in a department store in the Seoul area. Starting with the Lotte Konkuk Star City Branch, Hanssem plans to expand its home interior store presence in department stores in Seoul, including opening a store at Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch in December.
Hanssem Rehouse Lotte Konkuk Star City Branch is a remodeling specialty store showcasing Hanssem’s installed furniture and building materials such as kitchens, bathrooms, windows, flooring, wallpaper, and lighting. Since more than 90% of apartments in Gwangjin-gu, where the department store is located, are over 10 years old, there is high demand for remodeling. Additionally, the area around Konkuk University Station has a large floating population in their 20s and 30s, so it is expected to attract visitors of various age groups interested in home decoration.
At the store, customers can experience three types of model houses that replicate actual apartments inside the department store. The 'Modern Beige Natural' 99m² (supply 34 pyeong), 'Modern Classic Cream' 120m² (supply 30 pyeong), and 'Modern Gray 2' 84m² (supply 25 pyeong) model houses are designed to reflect family lifestyles and the latest trends, furnished with Hanssem’s furniture and building materials. Visitors can tour spaces from the entrance to the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, touch the products directly, and get ideas for their own home interiors.
In particular, the Modern Classic Cream model house is designed as a smart home applying a home Internet of Things (IoT) system. Users can control lighting and curtains conveniently through voice commands like 'Turn on the lights' or 'Lower the curtains,' or by pressing smart buttons, experiencing a more convenient home environment.
In the 'Kitchen Zone,' various kitchen furniture including Hanssem’s premium kitchen 'Kitchen Bach,' Euro, and Milan are displayed in various plans such as home bar and home cafe styles. In the 'Building Materials Zone,' customers can carefully compare and touch Hanssem’s windows, flooring, doors, lighting, and other building materials. The 'Smart Home Package Zone' exhibits home IoT-based products such as home cameras, AI speakers, and motorized curtains, enabling shopping for smart home implementation.
The store offers customized consultation services with remodeling specialist designers (RD) using the 3D consultation program ‘Home Planner.’ Customers can visualize the completed remodeling of their residence in virtual reality and customize interior designs by changing furniture and building materials according to their preferences.
To commemorate the store opening, Hanssem has prepared various events. The first 200 customers who receive remodeling consultations at the store will be given a 'Lotte Department Store gift certificate worth 10,000 KRW.' Customers who sign remodeling contracts worth over 10 million KRW will receive Lotte L.POINT rewards up to 0.3%. Customers who sign a Rehouse Style Package contract by November and complete the construction by December will receive Lotte gift certificates worth up to 1.8 million KRW depending on the contract amount, and those who sign contracts over 10 million KRW will receive kitchenware on a first-come, first-served basis.
