9-Person Vessel Capsizes Northeast of Dokdo Sea
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] A vessel carrying 9 crew members capsized in the waters northeast of Dokdo, and the Coast Guard is conducting a search.
According to the East Sea Regional Coast Guard on the 20th, at around 2:24 PM, a report was received from Japan's 8th Regional Coast Guard about the capsizing of vessel A (72 tons, 9 crew members) registered in Hupo, approximately 168 km northeast of Dokdo.
The East Sea Coast Guard dispatched 5,000-ton and 1,500-ton patrol ships and a helicopter to the scene, and nearby Japan Coast Guard vessels are also conducting a search at the accident site.
