Lotte Chilsung Actively Promotes 'Re:Green Resource Circulation Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 20th that it will carry out the 'Re:Green Resource Circulation Campaign,' which directly collects empty water PET bottles and transforms them into upcycled products such as eco-bags and uniforms. The campaign aims to reduce the use of petroleum-based plastics and recycle waste plastics to establish a sustainable resource circulation economy. It was planned not only as an eco-friendly management effort for a clear and clean nature but also as part of socially responsible management that coexists with consumers, business partners, and recycling companies.
Since July, Lotte Chilsung Beverage has been conducting the campaign in collaboration with 11 business partners in Seoul, including Songchugamagol, and plans to expand to regional business partners starting next year.
At the participating business partners, collection boxes are provided to separately gather only the consumed label-free Isis PET bottles, and Lotte Chilsung Beverage delivery personnel directly collect the empty PET bottles while delivering new beverages. The collected empty PET bottles are processed by partner companies into recycled raw materials for producing upcycled products.
