Mirae Asset Life Insurance Provides Dental Services for Homebound Elderly
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Mirae Asset Life Insurance announced on the 18th that it will carry out 'Visiting Dental Service Season 5' in collaboration with Seoul National University Dental Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Welfare's commissioned Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone.
Medical staff from Seoul National University Dental Hospital will visit the sites to provide dental care for elderly people living alone who cannot receive dental treatment due to financial difficulties. Treatments include cavity care, denture repair, and scaling, along with education on preventing related diseases and oral care in daily life. Patients requiring immediate treatment will receive advanced care at Seoul National University Dental Hospital.
The program is planned to serve about 300 elderly people living alone by the end of this year, but it will be flexibly operated in an appropriate manner depending on the social distancing level set by health authorities. Additionally, to prevent COVID-19 infection, vaccination completion will be prioritized for both patients and volunteers.
