KOCCA Breathes ESG Management Culture into the Content Industry
Operation of Social Value Academy with Shinhan University
The Korea Creative Content Agency recently announced on the 18th that it operated a Social Value Academy in collaboration with Shinhan University. Under the theme of 'Creating Social Value through ESG Management,' approximately eighty practitioners from content companies and public institutions were trained. Speakers included National Assembly member Seo Young-kyo, Professor Lee Hyun of Shinhan University's Department of Global Trade and Business, Jung Young-il, ESG Consulting Partner at Ieum Research Institute, Oh Seon-tae, Center Director at the Korea Standards Association, and Lee Jong-oh, Secretary General of the Socially Responsible Investment Forum. They discussed ESG management and social value creation, strengthening ESG management capabilities, and establishing ESG strategic frameworks. Professor Lee Hyun stated, "It is important for executives and employees to empathize with the necessity of ESG management and to implement it step by step." Center Director Oh Seon-tae emphasized, "To secure sustainability in the process of establishing ESG management and social value creation strategies, economic value must be considered." Lee Ki-hwan, CEO of the Korea Value Convergence Association, introduced the concept of 'Collective Impact,' which involves setting and practicing common goals to solve social problems. Cho Hyun-rae, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "ESG management is becoming an essential element, not a choice," and added, "We will do our best to spread the culture of ESG management throughout the content industry and society as a whole."
