Geochang-gun Conducts National Safety Inspection at 6 Landslide-Prone Areas
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that it will conduct on-site inspections of the forestry sector until the 22nd during the national safety diagnosis promotion period.
The targets for on-site inspections in the forestry sector include seven locations such as Yeongyo-ri, Jusang-myeon, where landslide damage occurred due to last year's heavy rain, and six landslide-prone areas adjacent to villages such as Imbul-ri, Namsang-myeon.
The joint safety diagnosis inspection team consists of four members, including officials and private experts. The main inspection items are slope erosion, collapse, risk status, appropriateness of the placement of erosion control structures, and drainage facilities.
In particular, this inspection uses drones to grasp the overall situation, which is difficult to confirm with the naked eye, and also inspects the status of adjacent plots.
The county plans to immediately improve minor issues on-site based on the inspection results, and if on-site measures are difficult, temporary restoration will be done followed by restoration measures through budget securing.
