[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized at UCI Medical Center in Irvine, California, on suspicion of sepsis.
On the 14th (local time), Angel Urena, spokesperson for former President Clinton, released a statement saying, "Former President Clinton was admitted to the hospital on the evening of the 12th due to symptoms related to sepsis."
Spokesperson Urena confirmed that these sepsis symptoms are not related to COVID-19.
In the statement, he said, "Former President Clinton is currently recovering" and "is in good health."
He added, "We express our gratitude to the medical staff for their efforts."
The medical team treating former President Clinton at UCI Medical Center issued a joint statement on the same day, saying, "We are closely monitoring (former President Clinton's) condition" and "He is currently receiving antibiotic treatment."

The medical team further stated, "It has been determined that continuous observation is necessary, so he remains hospitalized," and added, "He is responding well to the antibiotic treatment."
