President Moon Exchanges Congratulatory Letters on the 30th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations with the Baltic States
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in exchanged congratulatory letters with the presidents of Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Baltic States this year, the Blue House announced on the 15th.
In the letter, President Moon evaluated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1991, South Korea and the Baltic States have developed close cooperative relations in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture, and expressed hope that the friendship between the two countries would deepen through various cultural events.
President Nauseda of Lithuania expressed hope to strengthen cooperation in fields such as advanced industries and fintech on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, and showed expectations that the opening of the embassy in Korea this year would promote the deepening of bilateral relations.

President Kaljulaid of Estonia hoped to expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as digital technology and defense industry as well as on the international stage, and President Levits of Latvia stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, cooperation in various fields such as human exchange, economy, and culture has been strengthened, and wished for the continuous development of bilateral relations.
