Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Launches Firefighting Relics Donation Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chief Yang Young-gyu) announced on the 14th that it is conducting a campaign to collect and donate firefighting artifacts to preserve and exhibit historical firefighting materials through the establishment of the National Firefighting Museum.
The donation period is year-round and open to all citizens. Donations are not limited to specific types such as documents, books, photos, clothing, equipment, and vehicles; any firefighting-related artifacts can be donated.
To donate, visit the Firefighting Artifact Archive, click on 'Artifact Donation Campaign,' download the 'Firefighting Artifact Donation Application' at the bottom of the page, fill it out, and send it by mail or email to the National Firefighting Museum.
Donors of firefighting artifacts will receive benefits such as ▲issuance of donation certificates and presentation of appreciation plaques ▲invitations to various important events and exhibition openings ▲free delivery of museum publications throughout the year.
Chief Yang Young-gyu said, “We ask for the interest and participation of citizens so that historical materials and artifacts related to the changes and development of firefighting can be discovered and preserved.”
