On that day, in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, a total of 14 personnel including police officers and conscripted policemen directly visited Yuldo Island in Mokpo City to provide maritime (fisheries) legal consultations, support for elderly living alone, inspection of fishing vessel engine equipment, cleaning activities at docks and harbors, and delivery of COVID-19 prevention supplies, spending time interacting with local residents.
The 'Mobile Civil Service Office' is operated to alleviate the inconvenience of island residents who have to travel long distances to receive administrative services, and it has received great responses from local residents.
Local residents who visited the mobile civil service office that day expressed their gratitude, saying, "Coming all the way here to provide counseling on difficulties, various volunteer activities, and even caring for marine environment cleanup gave great strength to the fishing community exhausted by COVID-19."
