‘Hampyeong Shine Muscat’ Embarks on First Export to Hong Kong
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun's regional specialty crop, 'Hampyeong Shine Muscat,' has embarked on its first export route to Hong Kong.
On the 14th, Hampyeong-gun announced that a loading ceremony commemorating the first export of Hampyeong Shine Muscat was held that morning at Haebo Nabigol Nonghyup, attended by County Governor Lee Sang-ik and Kim Yong-o, CEO of Hampyeong Kkotmurit Export Grape Agricultural Cooperative Corporation.
The quantity of Shine Muscat shipped for the first export amounted to approximately 500 boxes (1 ton).
So far, the county has been striving to secure a stable distribution network for local farmers by establishing a Shine Muscat export complex in preparation for oversupply caused by the increase in domestic Shine Muscat cultivation farms.
In addition, in May, the 'Hampyeong Kkotmurit Export Grape Agricultural Cooperative Corporation' was established and has been actively serving as an export channel.
The corporation has been systematically preparing for exports by providing education on safe pesticide use and fruit thinning techniques to producing farms to ensure high-quality grapes that meet export standards.
