According to the county on the 14th, the Korea Solar League is an event that selects and awards institutions that have increased renewable energy and led the spread of solar power to reduce fine dust and respond to the climate crisis. A total of 13 organizations were awarded among 17 metropolitan local governments, 226 basic local governments, and private organizations nationwide.
As a result of the final evaluation, 11 institutions were selected as awardees, and Sinan-gun received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in the basic local government category for enacting a renewable energy development profit-sharing policy.
The renewable energy development profit-sharing policy was created as a result of holding several residents' briefings to share the profits from renewable energy development using local resources such as sunlight and wind with the residents.
In April, it announced the realization of the profit-sharing policy by paying the nation's first solar power profit dividends (510,000 to 1,000,000 KRW per person) to residents.
