Oasis Market Launches Rental Service for Over 500 Kitchen and Home Appliances
Food Waste Processor Rental Fee Discounted from 29,900 KRW to 8,900 KRW Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Oasis Market, a company specializing in dawn delivery, announced on the 13th that it will start a home rental service.
The rental products include over 500 items such as food waste disposers, massage machines, kitchen appliances, home appliances, air purifiers and dehumidifiers, and water purifiers. The range of products will be expanded to include mattresses and home training equipment in the future.
As the non-face-to-face culture minimizing interpersonal contact rapidly expands, a so-called 'self-management rental service' that can be managed independently without home visits is also being prepared. Self-management water purifiers, bidets, and air purifiers are representative examples.
In particular, Oasis Market applied the industry's lowest commission-based pricing policy, introduced in the Oasis Open Market, to the rental service to emphasize price competitiveness.
Oasis Market will hold a special event for its main product, the 'Green Sink Food Waste Disposer,' until the end of the year, offering a discounted monthly rental fee of 25,900 KRW from the regular price of 29,900 KRW based on a 48-month contract. Using affiliated credit cards, customers can receive a 17,000 KRW discount (based on a card spending of 700,000 KRW), reducing the fee to 8,900 KRW, and will also receive a 200,000 KRW Shinsegae gift certificate. Additional benefits include approximately 100,000 KRW worth of relocation and installation fees, free replacement of sink piping, and a transparent smart cap worth 60,000 KRW.

According to the KT Economic Management Research Institute, the domestic rental market size exceeded 40 trillion KRW last year and is expected to grow to 100 trillion KRW by 2025.
In particular, with the explosive increase in demand for home rentals after COVID-19, the home goods rental market size reached approximately 10.7 trillion KRW last year, accounting for about one-quarter of the entire rental market.
