Jiptos Helps Seoul Youth Find Customized Housing Solutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Real estate brokerage startup Jiptoss announced on the 14th that it will conduct a housing support campaign targeting young adults in Seoul.
The "Jiptoss Seoul Youth Housing Support" campaign listens to the housing concerns of young people living in Seoul and helps them find a home that suits each individual. The campaign involves one-on-one housing consultations with employees of universities, startups, and companies partnered with Jiptoss, as well as support for brokerage fees. This initiative was prepared with the intention of growing alongside young people without forgetting the founding background of Jiptoss, which started its service to alleviate the difficulties faced by those searching for homes.
The one-on-one housing consultations are conducted according to each applicant's budget and housing preference type. The consultations are handled by brokerage professionals directly hired and trained by Jiptoss, aiming to recommend suitable rental listings to applicants. The consultation covers rental and sales types of residential real estate such as one- or two-room units, officetels, and small apartments in the Seoul area. Brokerage fees are uniformly applied at rates lower than the legally mandated commission rates.
The campaign is planned to be conducted through partnerships with universities and startups where many young people are concentrated. Currently, the campaign is underway in partnership with university organizations such as Yonsei University's housing consultation platform "Jipbosem" and startups. Jiptoss stated that it plans to adjust the target audience and scope through ongoing communication with young people. Through this, they aim to help reduce the difficulties of finding housing during the social stagnation caused by COVID-19 and to address housing concerns throughout life stages in the future.
Im Gyu-hyung, head of Jiptoss's business strategy team, said, "Since its founding, Jiptoss has empathized with the housing issues of contemporary youth and has considered its business model and service direction accordingly," adding, "We hope many members of universities and startups will participate so that Jiptoss can support Seoul's young adults in finding and settling into homes that suit them."
