Analyzing Consumption Patterns to Recommend Customized Services... One Innovative Financial Service Designated
Financial Services Commission's Total of 154 Innovative Financial Services
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Starting this December, it is expected to be possible to provide useful and accurate analytical information and recommend customized financial services by understanding and analyzing financial consumers' consumption patterns.
On the 13th, the Financial Services Commission held a regular meeting and announced that nine financial companies, including NongHyup Bank, Shinhan, KB Kookmin, Lotte, BC, Samsung, Woori, Hana, and Hyundai Card, have been newly designated as innovative financial services for the 'Card Usage Information Expansion Service for MyData Advancement.' So far, a total of 154 innovative financial services have been designated.
This service improves the accuracy of user consumption pattern analysis when users provide credit card usage information to businesses. Previously, when card companies provided credit card usage information to MyData operators, only the merchant name was provided regarding the merchant information. However, this time, the business registration number is also provided, allowing precise identification of the type of merchant.
Additionally, the designation period for 11 services, including the financial suspicious transaction information analysis and sharing service, has been extended.
The 11 extended services are ▲ Financial Suspicious Transaction Information Analysis and Sharing Service (KFTC) ▲ Online Simple Enrollment Service for Corporate Insurance (Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance) ▲ Simple Insurance Enrollment and Cancellation Process (Bomap Partner) ▲ Online Safe Payment Service Based on Credit Card Points (KB Kookmin Card) ▲ Rapid Payment Service for Card Sales Proceeds Based on Points (KB Kookmin Card) ▲ Real Estate Monthly Rent Card Payment Service (Shinhan Card) ▲ VAN Service Based on Cloud, etc. (Finevo) ▲ Fractional Investment Service for Overseas Stocks (Korea Investment & Securities) ▲ Immediate Payment Service for Mid-month Salary Settlement (Emmaus) ▲ Personal Business Credit Evaluation Service Based on Credit Card Merchant Information (BC Card, KB Kookmin Card), etc.

A Financial Services Commission official said, "Due to the revision of the Credit Information Act, credit card companies can also engage in personal business credit evaluation, and the licensing process is underway. However, since the designation period for innovative financial services may expire before the licensing process is completed, the designation period has been extended by one year for business stability."
