Genie Music Signs K-Pop Music Supply Contract with Huawei Music
[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Jo] Genie Music announced on the 13th that it has recently signed contracts to supply K-pop music to global platforms such as Huawei Music and Anghami.
The Huawei Music app supplies music to a total of 22 countries and regions, including Egypt, Kenya, the Middle East, and Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. Anghami, scheduled to receive music supply in December, is the largest music streaming service company in the Arab world. Anghami provides services in 18 countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The company evaluated that this contract signifies a meaningful expansion into various global countries such as the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, beyond the existing main markets of the United States, China, and Japan. Genie Music supplies services to 95 countries and about 50 music platforms overseas.
