Ministry of Foreign Affairs Extends Special Travel Advisory Until November 13
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 13th that it will extend the special travel advisory for all countries and regions for an additional month until November 13, considering the COVID-19 pandemic.
The special travel advisory is issued for urgent short-term overseas travel risks and corresponds to measures between 'Travel Caution' (Travel Alert Level 2) and 'Evacuation Recommendation' (Level 3).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged people to cancel or postpone overseas travel as much as possible and to pay special attention to personal safety by minimizing contact with others if staying abroad.
The government has continuously extended the special travel advisory since it was first issued on March 23 last year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
