Lexus Korea Hosts the 'Creative Masters Award 2022'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Lexus Korea announced on the 13th that it will hold the ‘Creative Masters Award 2022,’ a project to discover and support emerging Korean artists.
Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, the ‘Creative Masters Award’ is a talent development project that discovers and supports emerging artists in the domestic craft field. So far, 16 works have been produced as the 'Creative Masters Edition.'
This year’s theme is ‘RE-’ which carries the meaning of ‘rethinking the environment’ to breathe new life into the Earth and everyday life. Lifestyle products such as household goods, furniture, and accessories that incorporate technology and sensibility are eligible.
The application period is until the 8th of next month, and submissions can be made through the Lexus Korea website. The results of the screening will be announced on the 24th of next month, and a total of 4 final winning teams will each receive 10 million won in production support.

Byungjin Lee, Executive Director of Lexus Korea, said, “At a time when carbon neutrality is emerging as an important value due to abnormal climate, the Creative Masters Award project also chose this year’s theme as ‘RE-’ to contemplate the issues of our society together. We hope many craft works that consider the environment to heal the Earth, which is facing a crisis due to climate change, will apply.”
