Seoul COVID-19 New Confirmed Cases 567 as of 9 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Seoul city announced that the number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul from 12:00 AM to 9:00 PM on the 12th, a 21-hour period, was counted at 567.
Compared to the same time frame the previous day, it increased by 87 from 480. Compared to a week ago on the 5th, when there were 695 cases, it decreased by 128. The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day, after removing duplicates and false reports, was 482 on the 11th and 689 on the 5th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul surged starting from the 23rd of last month, right after the Chuseok holiday, reaching a record high of 1,222 on the 24th. From the 29th to the 4th of this month, it decreased for six consecutive days. After the National Foundation Day holiday ended, cases increased again for two days, then decreased for five consecutive days starting from the 7th. It is expected to rise again as the Hangul Day holiday ends.
