Yeonggwang-gun Holds '2022 New Policy Discovery Report Meeting'

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 12th that it recently held the ‘2022 New Policy Discovery Report Meeting’ chaired by Governor Kim Junsung with heads of each department attending at the county office small conference room.

At the report meeting held ahead of next year’s main budget formulation, discussions were held on the feasibility and effectiveness of 102 new projects focusing on realizing the county’s future vision projects by actively responding to policy directions such as the Korean New Deal and Jeonnam Blue Economy and introducing creative policies.

The main discovered policies include ▲Establishment of a Smart City (U-City) Integrated Platform ▲Development of Green Hydrogen Evaluation System Technology and Infrastructure ▲Construction of Job-Linked Support Housing in Daemasan Industrial Complex ▲Creation of a Smart Seed Production Specialized Complex to Strengthen the K-Seed Industry ▲Establishment of Chilsan Bridge Smart Complex Rest Area, among others, which are new growth engine policies driving Yeonggwang’s development in response to the Korean New Deal.

▲Legalization of Farmhouse Buildings ▲Special Transportation for the Transportation Vulnerable (24-hour Call Taxi Introduction) ▲Senior Care 119, Smart Care ▲Creation of Seongsan Park Eco (ECO) Forest ▲Establishment of a Smart Recycling Resource Circulation Reward System, etc., are also presented as life-centered policies with high resident satisfaction.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “Despite the difficult situation due to the prolonged COVID-19 economic downturn, we must solidly conclude the 7th elected term and discover and promote projects that meet new environments and policy directions to lay the foundation for future growth engines,” and added, “I expect active administrative roles so that the lives of the residents can become happier.”

Meanwhile, the county plans to reflect the various policies discovered this time in the budget according to project priority after supplementary procedures such as feasibility review, and to actively promote the projects next year.
