Woori Bank Provides Financial Support to Afghan Special Contributors
Support for Mobile Financial Services Including Bank Account Opening
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Bank announced on the 12th that it will carry out support projects for Afghan Special Contributors who entered the country from Afghanistan last August.
Afghan Special Contributors are locals who have supported the activities of our government in Afghanistan. The Ministry of Justice assigns them foreigner registration numbers and supports their life in Korea.
Starting from this day, Woori Bank plans to provide various financial services such as ▲account opening ▲internet and mobile banking registration ▲designation of foreign exchange banks for transactions by setting up a mobile branch at the National Human Resources Development Institute for Public Officials in Jincheon, Chungbuk, where 391 Afghan Special Contributors are temporarily staying, for four days. Financial education will also be conducted to enhance understanding of domestic finance.
In addition, for about 230 minors among the Afghan Special Contributors, a ‘Hangul Education Set’ consisting of Hangul textbooks and various stationery will be produced and delivered.
