[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 12th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will deliver a welcoming address to Korean entrepreneurs active worldwide and domestic small and medium-sized business owners attending the opening ceremony of the '25th World Korean Business Convention' held at Grand Walkerhill Seoul.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Moon Seung-wook, and Minister of SMEs and Startups Kwon Chil-seung, among others.
The World Korean Business Convention, held until the 15th, gathers over 700 participants including Korean entrepreneurs operating in 138 cities across 64 countries worldwide and excellent domestic SMEs to explore ways to revitalize Seoul's economy in the COVID-19 era.
Starting with the opening ceremony, substantial programs such as Seoul city investment attraction briefings, export consultations, and recruitment briefings will be held both online and offline over four days.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government explained, "With the goal of making Seoul an attractive city where people, companies, and investments gather again, we are promoting 'Seoul Vision 2030.' This event is held to leverage the global Korean business network as a link to attract foreign capital investment in Seoul and to lead the overseas expansion of Seoul's promising SMEs."
