[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The number of COVID-19 vaccine recipients increased by over 110,000 in a single day. The total number of fully vaccinated individuals reached approximately 30.42 million, representing about 59.3% of the entire population.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team on the 10th, the number of newly administered first doses the previous day was 10,766, and the number of fully vaccinated individuals increased by 103,426. The combined total of new first and second doses administered in one day was 114,192.
By vaccine type, the number of new first doses administered was 8,278 for Moderna, 1,910 for Pfizer, 428 for Janssen, and 150 for AstraZeneca (AZ).
As of midnight that day, the cumulative number of first doses administered domestically was 39,920,919, corresponding to 77.7% of the total population. The first dose vaccination rate among those aged 18 and over was 90.4%.
Looking at cumulative first doses by vaccine, Pfizer accounted for 21,259,818, AstraZeneca 11,096,140, and Moderna 6,095,457.
The cumulative number of Janssen vaccine recipients was 1,458,738. Since the Janssen vaccine requires only one dose, those vaccinated with Janssen are included in both first and second dose counts.
Among the 103,426 people who newly completed their second dose the previous day, the breakdown by vaccine was 89,226 for Pfizer, 10,587 for Moderna, and 3,185 for AstraZeneca.
The number of individuals who completed AstraZeneca vaccination was counted as 4,075; however, among them, 890 had received AstraZeneca for their first dose and then received Pfizer as a second dose in a mixed vaccination regimen.
As a result, the total number of people who have completed both doses reached 30,426,399. This represents 59.3% of the population, and 68.9% when considering only those aged 18 and over.
The cumulative number of fully vaccinated individuals by vaccine type was 15,728,996 for Pfizer, 10,660,512 for AstraZeneca (including 1,663,436 mixed vaccinations), 2,474,727 for Moderna, with the remainder being Janssen recipients.
Regarding vaccination completion rates by gender, females (61.0%) were slightly higher than males (57.5%). By age group, the highest completion rate was among those in their 70s at 91.0%, followed by those in their 60s at 90.8%, 50s at 90.6%, and those aged 80 and above at 80.7%.
Among younger and middle-aged groups, where vaccinations started relatively later, the rates were 48.9% for those in their 30s and 18?29 age group, 48.5% for those in their 40s, and 0.2% for those under 17, all still below half.
For children and adolescents aged 16?17, who began pre-booking vaccinations on the 5th, 414,026 out of 898,741 eligible individuals made reservations, resulting in a reservation rate of 46.1%.
A total of 14,749 people made reservations for additional doses targeting high-risk groups and seniors aged 60 and above who have completed their primary vaccination series, and 1,506 pregnant women participated in the reservation process.

Meanwhile, as of midnight that day, the total remaining vaccine supply in the country was 19,157,500 doses. By vaccine type, the stock included 9,911,900 doses of Moderna, 4,886,000 doses of Pfizer, 4,146,400 doses of AstraZeneca, and 213,200 doses of Janssen.
