LS Group Maintains Open Recruitment for New Employees, Hiring Again This Year... Metaverse Briefing Session 'Popular'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LS Group announced on the 8th that it is conducting an open recruitment for new employees for the second half of 2021 from the 27th of last month until the 15th of this month.
LS decided to hold an open recruitment this year considering that job seekers are experiencing extreme employment difficulties amid the trend of major groups reducing or abolishing open recruitment and switching to rolling recruitment. A company official explained, "By maintaining the regular open recruitment system, we aim to provide job seekers with some predictability and convenience in the hiring process."
LS has conducted open recruitment for new employees every year in the second half. This year, four affiliates including LS Cable & System, LS Electric, LS-Nikko Copper, and E1 plan to hire new employees. E1 will separately recruit at the end of October considering winter internships.
The recruitment scale is in the triple digits, similar to last year. Including rolling recruitment, the annual total is about 1,000 people. The positions available are diverse, including sales, production, quality, design, support, and research and development (R&D), targeting graduates and expected graduates (February 2022) from four-year regular universities (graduate schools).
Final acceptance requires passing document screening, artificial intelligence (AI) competency tests, practical interviews, and executive interviews. Since last year, LS has been conducting most of the hiring process online, from recruitment counseling to competency tests and practical interviews.

At this event, LS recruitment officers and current employees invited about 150 job seekers to the metaverse virtual space 'Elloland,' where they freely exchanged questions and answers about employment through avatars they each accessed.
Additionally, a live recruitment briefing session was held in Elloland, and various helpful corners for job seekers were prepared, such as providing company-specific job introduction vlog videos.
