People Power Party to Begin Daejang-dong Special Prosecutor Demand Tent Protest at National Assembly Starting Tomorrow
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The People Power Party is starting a 'tent protest' in the National Assembly to push for a special prosecution investigation into the Daejang-dong development scandal.
According to the party secretariat on the 7th, the People Power Party will set up the 'Tent Protest Headquarters to Urge Acceptance of Special Prosecution' on the steps in front of the National Assembly main building from the 8th to the 21st and hold relay sit-ins.
The protest hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with lawmakers taking turns on duty in a rotation system.
The first protest group includes lawmakers Yoon Jae-ok, Kim Hee-gon, Kang Min-guk, Park Soo-young, and Yoon Chang-hyun, members of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee.
