[Breaking] Prosecution Requests Arrest Warrant for Jang Yong-jun, Son of Jang Je-won
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin, Legal Affairs Specialist] The prosecution filed an arrest warrant on the 7th for Jang Yong-jun (stage name Noel), the son of People Power Party lawmaker Jang Je-won, on charges including refusal to undergo a breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act.
Jang is accused of driving a Benz without a license during his probation period around 10:30 p.m. on the 18th in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, causing a collision with another vehicle, refusing the police's request for a breathalyzer test, and assaulting a police officer.
Earlier, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul applied to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 1st for an arrest warrant against Jang on charges including refusal to undergo a breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act, unlicensed driving, and obstruction of official duties.

The pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) for Jang is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. on the 12th at the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Moon Seong-gwan, head of the warrant review division.
