View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 7th that it has completed the development of Seoseoul Lake Park as a barrier-free friendly park, improving it so that not only the general public but also people with disabilities, the elderly, children, and stroller users can use the park more comfortably.
The city applied universal design to the walking environment of major areas such as the deck road around the central lake, which is frequently used by citizens, and the Mondrian Garden, making it easier for citizens to use. Some facilities were also renovated to enhance the convenience and satisfaction of park users.
The "Barrier-Free Friendly Park Development Project" has been selecting 1 to 2 sites annually since 2012 and has completed 11 sites to date.

Yu Young-bong, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Green City Bureau, said, "We are doing our best to make Seoul's parks a resting place where not only the general public but also children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, who are vulnerable in transportation, can gather and enjoy together."
