[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Changwon City Council and the Changwon City Policy Research Institute jointly held a legislative debate on the 5th to share research contents on major policy tasks and to strengthen the capabilities of the city council in preparation for the launch of the special city.
Changwon City announced on the 6th that this debate was the first held between the Changwon City Council and the Changwon City Policy Research Institute, discussing topics requested by the Council Planning and Administration Committee.
The presenters were Seo Seon-young, Senior Researcher at the Changwon City Policy Research Institute, and Lee Ja-seong, Senior Research Fellow. About 30 people, including Changwon city council members and researchers from the Policy Research Institute, participated in a heated discussion for the future growth of city administration.
Researcher Seo presented on the topic "Paradigm Shift in the Future Car Industry and Response Measures for Changwon City's Automobile Industry," suggesting development directions to secure the competitiveness of Changwon's automobile industry, including the current status and trends of the electric vehicle industry, the status of Changwon's electric vehicle industry, and response measures to foster the electric vehicle industry in Changwon.
The second presenter, Research Fellow Lee, spoke on the topic "The Role of the Council for the Future and Development of Changwon City," discussing support measures for legislative activities through comparisons among the four special city councils to create an environment for a policy council with enhanced expertise, fitting for the Changwon Special City launching on January 13 next year.
