Ministry of Unification: "North Korea's 'Major Issues' Should Be Resolved Through Dialogue"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Unification stated that the 'major issues' such as North Korea's claims of double standards and the withdrawal of hostile policies are problems that the South and North should resolve through dialogue.
On the 5th, a Ministry of Unification official responded to reporters' questions, saying, "Rather than viewing it as a precondition for dialogue and cooperation, it is an issue that should be resolved together through dialogue and cooperation between the South and North."
The official emphasized, "The issues of hostile policies and the withdrawal of double standards have been raised several times in the history of inter-Korean relations," adding, "We will not prejudge North Korea's position but will observe North Korea's attitude going forward and work together to resolve this issue."
