Yongin City Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Parking of Dump Trucks and Construction Machinery
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is cracking down on illegal parking of construction machinery.
Yongin City announced that from the 5th to the 22nd of this month, it will intensively monitor construction machinery parked or stopped outside designated areas.
Construction machinery such as dump trucks, cranes, excavators, and forklifts can only be parked in designated locations according to relevant laws. However, recently, many cases of illegal parking have been found on roads near residential areas and vacant lots.
Illegal parking of construction machinery can block drivers' visibility of sidewalks or right-turn lanes, causing traffic accidents, and can also cause noise and exhaust pollution, harming residents.
To address this, the city has organized its own inspection teams in three groups to conduct day and night patrols focusing on residential areas and places with frequent complaints.
The city will issue a warning notice upon the first violation and impose fines from the second violation onward. Additionally, banners will be hung in areas where illegal parking of construction machinery occurs to educate the public, and residents will be encouraged to report violations.
