Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp 'Down'
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Users worldwide are experiencing inconvenience due to access disruptions on Facebook.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks access errors, widespread access failures occurred on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and others starting from 12 a.m. on the 5th.
As of 6:40 a.m. that day, accessing the Facebook website shows pages not loading properly.
Instagram also displays a message saying "Cannot refresh feed" when accessed, preventing normal operation.
Major foreign media outlets such as The New York Times also reported on the Facebook outage. According to The New York Times, a similar outage occurred in 2019.

In response, Facebook stated on its official Twitter, "We are aware of the access issues" and "We will restore service as soon as possible."
